In May 2011, the narrative of Century Aviation Ltd. unfolded a new chapter as it forged a strategic alliance with PHI Aviation, a renowned helicopter operator based in the United States. This Joint Venture (JV) was established to meet the growing transportation needs of offshore drilling rigs and production platforms in West Africa. At the heart of this partnership was a balanced shareholding structure, meticulously crafted to ensure mutual growth and shared vision. Century Aviation held a majority share of 51%, reflecting its dedication to regional growth, while PHI Aviation’s 49% stake brought international expertise to the venture. This collaboration was designed to enhance the operational capacity and service quality in the West African offshore aviation sector.
